Victoria Ross
Victoria Ross is a self taught Scottish artist and maker, born in Glasgow and now living and working in Linlithgow. She specialises in oil paintings that explore themes of loss, vulnerability, and human frailty, with a focus on what it means to be human. Through pared back, expressive figure paintings that have an unfinished quality and which expose the process of painting itself, she strives to investigate her own emotional landscape and by extension, produce work that inspires a sense of connection and empathy. Her unique style and perspective evoke a sense of raw emotion and introspection, drawing the viewer in to contemplate their own humanity.
