Call for exhibition volunteers
We are looking for volunteers to help in all aspects of our upcoming exhibition; Whose Story Is It? The exhibition will be held at Edinburgh Palette (151 London Road, Edinburgh, EH7 6AE) between March 5th - 26th but volunteers will be required between March 1st-27th.
Exhibition volunteers will play an integral role in the installation, invigilation, public engagement and evaluation of the show and will gain valuable hands-on experience in all aspects of exhibition set up and delivery. We are looking for reliable and committed individuals who are keen to update their experience and learn new skills within an arts organisation. We particularly encourage applications from those who may for a number of reasons have gaps in their C.V.
Although volunteers are not required to have specific experience, we are keen to hear from those who may already have, or wish to gain knowledge in the following areas:
Artistic curation
Family engagement
Evaluation Frameworks
Artwork handling and installation
Working hours would be between 11am and 5pm and volunteers are welcome to commit to just a few hours or a number of days throughout the entire exhibition. Free tea, coffee, snacks and wifi are available and we can reimburse reasonable travel expenses from within Edinburgh and the Lothians. The building is fully accessible to wheelchair users.
Key Dates:
Exhibition Installation: Tuesday March 1st - 4th
Preview Event: Saturday March 5th
Exhibition Invigilation: March 6th - 26th
De-install: Sunday 27th March
