This piece comes from a series called Paint Until the Baby Cries. For this series, I would sit the baby down and paint him from life, for as long as he would allow. As soon as he began to fuss, the painting would be complete no matter what state it was in. The time allotted for these painting ranges from 7 minutes to slightly over an hour. This series is a statement on the struggle and time restraints on the mother artist.

This painting was completed in about 50 minutes.
