This artwork is about the energy held within buildings and how rooms can hold memories and trauma. Monumental Collapse symbolises the end of something It is a pen and ink drawing of pieces of wood, broken pipes and architectural fragments bound with rags, hair and string. The feeling is bodily, dripping and visceral. The binding tries to hold the collapsing mess together.
